The light was fading fast, A black rain cloud was fast covering the sky
.The sun light was a glowing yellow. I was sitting by the riverside and reviewing my not so very good shoot. This bird was happily wading across the water at its leisure. The light just enough to get a fairly decent shot.

Good shot given the light limitations. It would have been a great capture if the swan had swam a couple of inches more… Can you also provide some technical details like shutter speed, aperture, ETC…
ReplyDeleteHi ARVE,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment. The EXIF info as requested
Nikon D80
Lens: Nikon 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6D ED VR
Focal Length: 400mm
Exposure Mode: Shutter Priority
Metering Mode: Multi-Pattern
1/800 sec - F/5.6
Exposure Comp.: 0 EV
Sensitivity: 320
At the top end of the zoom could not open up the aperture more. Did not use exposure compensation to add in more light. Had ti use a fast shutter to freeze the bird as it was and the water.
